More beauty... Mooore.

Having a small amount of pixels, while of course making display much cheaper, makes pixels looking too big sometimes. Meaning with a pretty near contact you can see all of them. That could make your electronic device usage a bit uncomfortable. To provide a better looking objects on the screen we decided to start working on the anti aliasing engine to solve the problem mentioned above. As much as we just started we are able to show you analog screen lines differences.
So, lets look on it.

Later we will continue to implement anti aliasing to all of such "pixeled" objects.
As you could remember we decided to make it possible choosing display mode either you want analog, digital or both at the same time. Now you are able to see all the important statuses on the analog screen as well.

Of course some status alignment still should be done.
To socialize our project we make it totally open source, so if you have any ideas feel free to contact us.

Schematics. Something that makes it go faster.

Schematics, circuits, contacts it is exactly what makes electronics engineer happy.
So, we were not able to hide our happiness that day. Let us share couple of photos with circuits we just received from OSH park.

Next week we are about to start testing them with components that are know totally capable as we made all the checks. So stay connected to our mind-blowing process of creating something innovative.

Social networks, main screen, power saving.

Hey followers!

Is there many updates over this month? We think yes. Probably it is now time to say that we are not that far away from making a first working model. Almost all the parts are received, contacts are spreading day by day so work is getting more international and experienced.

Are you interested to know something about us tet a tet? Our company is attending worldwide known Slush event. If you have any questions regarding our development feel free to contact us.

Now lets get to updates.

Making our system opened makes it easy to customize your wishes. At some point having a user friendly design is a must for those who are not up to programming or engineering. So we provide
some small changes to graphics. Menu looks like that now. Easy to navigate and have some new apps on line.
Less colors on a main screen is another thing. We decided to emphasize on notifications and statuses rather than making different tyles and graphical changes.

Are you an analog watches fan? No problems, we are now providing a possibility of changing main screen. You are able to put digital, analog or both at the same time. And you still get notified with messages or weather. There are still some important updates to be done to make it look even better. Right now we are working on anti aliasing engine, so to make it less pixel looking.

One of the major updates is social networks log. What is so special in our idea and what are the limits?  At the moment you are allowed to get 6 last notifications from your phone either from facebook or vkontakte. Some social networks limit the length of the message so we are not able to fully provide full messages. Great thing in our idea is that we are making a log system, meaning all you social network notifications can be viewed at one place with no need to switch between apps. After testing this system we have realized that it is the most comfortable thing to do for your ease of use.

Another important aspect we have not talked about previously is sleep mode. Biggest problem of smart watches today is power consumption. You either get watches fully loaded with graphical opportunities but having one day battery life or you get black and white screen with one week battery life. We try to approach something average between these two variants. Having sleep mode means that your screen can switch off while you are not looking on it. You save battery and time. At the moment we are still working on that system but average of 2-3 days is already an achievement for us.

While project is growing there is a constant need of implementing new ideas. If you have fresh ideas for wearable devices feel free to contact us. Everything we have done so far is approached with your help.

Some updates!

Hello our reader!

We are working on our product day and night and here we have something new about our product!

First of all, we decided to make small changes to durability aspect. Having a chance for watches to fell ones is a need. To give you such an opportunity we are implementing Gorilla Glass 2 on BeGo! We think that this is a really important feature for your watches that will give them durability for years!

You can feel the look of it, it's a bit curved, small but good enough to be well protected.

Next thing, we are working with graphical interface every day to give our customers the best looking watches on the market! At the moment we almost finished with animations which will give us even more interactivity and user friendliness. We are expanding our graphical library every day to make it more easy to use and global in all aspects.

Soon we will put our new and better menu concept! It will look like this. Easy to use as you can see.

But of course it is only our concept that we are going to implement! Remember that with our open source system it will be easy to change it!

What is more? We are working towards best energy saving! Now we are reaching over 4 days of autonomy... and of course we can make it even longer!

Okay... next thing is that we are almost done with our first prototypes... all the components were shipped, so we are waiting for them to show you our FIRST complete model! This is going to be cool!

BeGo is back with GUI updates...

Hey folks!

Hopefully you have not lost us. Today we are back with some cool info about Graphical interface we were working on. So lets start.

It is important to mention that we are trying to create a user friendly and easy to use GUI, so it is important to use experience from smart watch users to make it perfect.

Firstly, we began to create a graphical library for BeGo platform. Now we are able to fully work with Bitmap imaging. Procedures like scaling, moving, rotating is a must have thing in such a projects. So let me show you something we have done with Standby screen.

It is important that you will have a chance to change a face clock. In our team we had so many wishes of how it should look like. So now you are not limited in using specific face clock, say hi to opensource. The only part we have not finished yet is smoothing. That is a great part to work on at the moment. We promise to make a better look finally.

If you are familiar with jogging our next update is exactly for you. We have considered opinions of runners around our city and made a decision on following information on the screen.
Our Pedometer is able to show you quite enough for your own statistics:
*Speed
*Steps
*Calories burned
*Timer
*Progress
*Rhythm

Let me explain how it works a bit. Before you start using the app you get asked about your personal information like age, weight, gender etc.
By collecting this information you are getting a personal calculations of Kcal. That makes it more accurate. At the moment we are working on 3 types of programs for jogging.
As well there is an idea of creating a second screen with your weekly progress.

Sms screen got a small update. Now you are able to actually see messages you have already read with a short message preview.

In addition you get informed about the time your last notification received. Right bottom tyle on the main screen.

Our To Do at the moment is to provide a social network log and continue working on internal graphics.

A bit to conclude we are now preparing to produce our first watches. All the parts like test bands, components, models are being shipped. So stay connected and share you ideas.

Design updates, schematics progress.

Hey folks!

We do not have any huge updates today but we still have something to share.
First of all we have received first test 3d models to test with schematics and buttons idea. We have received them from our partner so thanks to David for sending us those parts. Below you can see both models.

Both models are printed in ABS plastic. At my point of view green model is printed in 0.1 mm accuracy and white model in 0.2 mm. We still need to adjust inner side of the model, but well we hope all the parts will fit inside.

As you can see we have already done a PCB. Next week we will solder it and make all the necessary tests. So stay connected and wait for our news.
